The Cape Wind Energy Project is an excellent example of what can be done now to make the transition to renewable energy production without further significant environmental costs. It will stand as a model of progress by the U.S. in meeting its global obligations to reduce greenhouse gases and a model of leadership and compromise by the residents of Cape Cod to reduce air pollution.

Wall Street Journal article about Cape Wind Wednesday, June 08, 2005
Today's (Wednesday, June 8) Wall Street Journal has an article on Page A4 entitled, "Energy Initiatives Gain Power in Some States" that gives considerable coverage to the Cape Wind project. In the article, Cape Wind President Jim Gordon is quoted saying, "I think Wall Street is falling in love with the idea of a fuel that costs zero. They don't have to run the risk of natural-gas prices rising so high that the power plants they finance don't get run."
The article also quotes Theodore Roosevelt IV, Managing Director of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., discussing his involvement in helping to secure financing for Cape Wind.
The article features the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's Renewable Energy Trust and its Director, Robert L. Pratt.
